A New Chapter for ElleLiveAction
This marks an exciting new season in the ElleLiveAction story.
For many years, our Founder, Tasha Ina Church, carried this work forward on her own—guided by purpose, integrity, and a deep commitment to empowerment. As the need for these services has continued to grow, so has the vision.
Communities across islands and beyond are calling for empowerment-based self-defense, healing-centered education, and trauma-aware support. Meeting that need means expanding—not in spirit, but in community.
That’s why ElleLiveAction has partnered with trained, aligned Empowerment Self-Defense instructors, each bringing their own strengths while sharing the same core values of safety, respect, and empowerment.
Together, we’re expanding access—island to island, community to community.
Meet the instructors helping bring this work to more people than ever before.

Gaby Toloza
@MindfulRebelsCollective
Psychologist • Mindfulness Coach • Teacher Trainee
Gaby Toloza is a psychologist, mindfulness coach, and the heart behind. Dr. Gaby offers a space dedicated to helping humans reconnect with themselves through presence, compassion, and intentional living. She is a woman, wife, mother, and, above all, a fellow human who believes that healing begins with small, loving actions rooted in what truly matters.
With over 25 years in the helping profession, including 15 years as a practicing psychologist, Gaby has worked with a diverse range of individuals navigating stress, trauma, transitions, and the everyday complexities of being human. Her work is grounded in the belief that while the human journey is often marked by adversity, we are all inherently resilient and capable of profound growth.
Gaby is on a mission to make mental health mainstream by integrating mindfulness into daily life in accessible, meaningful ways. She teaches that mindfulness is not a luxury or trend—it is every human’s superpower. Through her work, she empowers people to nurture themselves, build emotional awareness, and create safer inner and outer spaces where healing can unfold.
As a teacher trainee, Gaby brings deep psychological insight, lived experience, and a calming, inclusive presence to her work—helping others cultivate resilience, self-trust, and compassionate awareness both within themselves and in their communities.
